03:08 PM || What's blooming now
Actually, the Hellebore starting blooming in late February or so and still going strong. Once the heat kicks in it will drop its seeds. I'm still waiting for other plants to show up...

06:00 PM || Next border
We're finally starting to get some real sun. Today is day #2 but it looks like we'll be getting even more rain this week. I guess that's good considering I just planted some more purchases yesterday. I picked up 2 Gauras, Salvia, Echinacea paradoxa, Rudbeckia 'Goldstrum', and two beautiful Clematis vines.
All of these new purchases are for the other border by the house. I'm starting from scratch here too since I gave away some shrubs.

02:01 PM || Peony bloomed, finally!
The Peony has finally begun to bloom This flower is absolutely beautiful. I feel so bad for this little fella, he's currently planted in part shade and reaching for the sun. Come this Fall I'll be relocating him to a sunnier border. I'm sure the transplant will cause for no blooming next year but at least he'll get more sun.

And here are the photos from the front of the house. These two borders are in dire need of some design:
08:52 PM || What I've gotta work with
I've finally got around to taking photos of our front yard. The photos show the two borders and the island bed. There's not much in them but at least there's some trees and shrubs. As you can see, they're basic and need some color and work.
I'm thinking of turning the island into a butterfly/hummingbird haven. The hard part is deciding which plants to get. I'll have to start my wish list....Check out the photos:
